INTERNSHIPS, TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ASSIGNMENTS
GENERAL INFORMATION
Students may work full-time or part-time and may be compensated for the work they do or they may participate in the internships on a volunteer basis. Students may also apply for temporary positions with state agencies.
TRAINING ASSIGNMENTS
For many vacant positions in state government, the department will consider using a training assignment at a lower grade and salary if there are not fully qualified applicants. This usually is stated on the job posting.
