(Helena) Governor Brian Schweitzer and Lt. Governor John Bohlinger announced the 2009 recipients of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Performance at a ceremony today at the Great Northern Hotel in Helena.
In its 20th year, the awards program is a way to publicly recognize outstanding state employees. “I am always honored to have this chance to recognize some of our finest state employees,” said Governor Brian Schweitzer. “These awards encourage excellence and provide outstanding role models for others. Employees from 26 Montana communities are getting recognized today. Every one of these communities should be proud to have these workers in your town.”
