Description: This course is required before taking any other Financials classes. The navigation class covers topics including setting file types to allow for data manipulation, logging into the MINE and SABHRS Financials module, navigation within the SABHRS web-based environment, saving navigational favorites, and customization of page display preferences.
Who should attend? This class is offered to new employees, users with little or no training in the SABHRS system, users who have never attended a navigational briefing, and experienced users who want a "back-to-basics" refresher. The class focus will be to provide the basic information a new user needs to successfully and efficiently use the system.
Pre-requisites: None
How long is the class? 3.0 hours
SWF210 - Vouchers (Accounts Payable) 
Description: This course will teach attendees to enter a variety of voucher types (including regular, multiple vendor, template, purchase order, and recurring), search for vendors, and to approve, budget check, close, and delete vouchers. Attendees will also learn to create withholdings adjustments, run basic Accounts Payable reports, and to inquire into the status of vouchers and payment documents.
Who should attend? This class is offered to new employees, users who have had little or no training with vouchers, and experienced users who have had a change in duties to include entry or approval of vouchers. The class focus is on providing information required by new users to perform their job duties successfully and efficiently.
Pre-requisites: The Intro to SABHRS/Navigation class (SWF101) or attendance at a navigational briefing is strongly recommended.
How long is the class? 6.0 hours
SWF310 - Deposits (Accounts Receivable) 
Description: This course will teach users how to enter regular deposits with direct journal entry, create accounting entries, and budget check deposits. Attendees will learn to approve deposits, conduct inquiries and research in order to identify errors, resolve errors by modifying accounting entries, and to run basic Accounts Payable reports.
Who should attend? This class is offered to new employees, users who have had little or no training, and experienced users who want a "back-to-basics" refresher or who have had a change in duties to include deposit entry, processing, or status inquiry. The class focuses on providing information required by new users to perform their job duties successfully and efficiently.
Pre-requisites: The Intro to SABHRS/Navigation class (SWF101) or attendance at a navigational briefing is strongly recommended.
How long is the class? 2.5 hours
SWF410 - Asset Management 
Description: This course introduces users to asset management and provides basic definitions of the differences between expensed and capitalized, depreciable and non-depreciable, and governmental and proprietary assets. Attendees will gain hands-on experience adding each type of asset, as well as changing the service date, useful life, and salvage value of an asset. We will also explore retirement, reinstatement, and parent/child assets, as well as briefly discuss asset inquiry, basic reporting functions, and General Ledger asset information.
Who should attend? This class is offered to new employees, users with little or no training, and experienced users who want a "back-to-basics" refresher or who have had a change in duties to include management of agency assets. The class focus is on providing the skills and knowledge required to begin managing assets in the financials system.
Pre-requisites: The Intro to SABHRS/Navigation class (SWF101) or attendance at a navigational briefing is strongly recommended.
How long is the class? 4.0 hours
SWF610 - Journals (General Ledger) 
Description: This course will teach attendees to enter regular journals; respond to or initiate interunit journals; edit, budget check, approve, and post journals; use SpeedCharts; and copy existing journals. Attendees will also learn to review journal and ledger data, drill down to the transactions that make up journal and ledger activity, run basic General Ledger Reports, and monitor open item activity.

This class is offered to new employees, users with little or no training, and experienced users who want a "back-to-basics" refresher or who have had a change in duties to include journal entry, processing, or status inquiry. The class focus is on providing information required by new users to perform their job duties successfully and efficiently.
Pre-requisites: The Intro to SABHRS/Navigation class (SWF101) or attendance at a navigational briefing is strongly recommended.

SWF650 - Budgets 
Description: This course will teach attendees about budget definitions, translate rules, and budget exceptions. Users will also learn how to enter and review budget journals, identify and track budget exceptions, drill down to budget activity transactions, conduct general budget inquiries, and run basic General Ledger reports. We will also discuss requirements and recommendations by the Office of Budget and Program Planning (OBPP) relative to budget journal entry.
Who should attend? This class is offered to new employees, users who have had little experience with governmental budget planning and analysis, and users who have had a change in duties to include budget development, analysis, or inquiry. The class focus is on providing information necessary to effectively track and manage governmental budgets.
Pre-requisites: The Intro to SABHRS/Navigation class (SWF101) or attendance at a navigational briefing is strongly recommended.
