News ReleaseGovernor-Elect Judy Martz For immediate release: December 14, 2000 MONTANA'S GOVERNOR-ELECT CHALLENGES GEORGIA GOVERNOR(HELENA)---Governor-Elect Judy Martz today challenged Georgia Governor Roy Barnes to a 12-pack of 16-ounce Montana T-bone steaks versus a case of Georgia peaches on the outcome of Saturday's NCAA I-AA Football Championship game. The University of Montana Grizzlies will challenge the defending champions, the Georgia Southern Eagles, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Governor-Elect Martz and her husband, Harry, will travel to Chattanooga today to represent Montana at the game. Martz said, "We expect a competitive game between two excellent teams and two excellent football programs. I'd like to make a friendly challenge to Governor Barnes, however, because I know the Grizzlies have what it takes to beat the Eagles this weekend. " In Tennessee, Martz will have dinner with University of Montana President George Dennison and will also address the Grizzlies team. She returns to Montana on Sunday.
