  • Bud Clinch as Director of the Department of Natural Resources & Conservation
  • Todd O'Hair as Natural Resources Policy Aid in the Governor's Office

"Today we are announcing the first two of our 12 department directors," Martz said. "We have been working for three weeks scouring through over 250 applications to find the best people for these jobs, and we are pleased with the results. And we think that Montanans will be pleased with the results as well."

Dave Galt has worked with the Montana Department of Transportation for 22 years, starting out as a GVW Enforcement Officer, working up to Assistant Enforcement Bureau Chief, and then to Administrator of the Motor Carrier Services Division. This past year he left the department to become the Executive Vice President of the Montana Motor Carrier's Association. A graduate of Carroll College, Dave has a Bachelor's of Art degree in Business Administration with Economics and Management.

A graduate of the University of Montana, Bud Clinch has worked as the Director of the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation for the past 5 years and before that as the Commissioner of The Montana Department of State Lands for 3 years. Prior to coming to state government, Bud worked for the Montana Logging Association for 11 years out of Kalispell. Bud has a Bachelors of Science degree in Forestry Management with a major emphasis in forest recreation.

Todd O'Hair, a graduate of Montana State University in Bozeman, is a native of Livingston. For the past two years, he has worked as State Director for U. S. Congressman Rick Hill out of his Billings Office. Before that he was a Territory Manager for Cargill Nutrena Feeds in Kansas City for three years after working on the family ranch near Livingston. Todd has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business and Marketing.

"Karl and I are very excited to have Dave, Bud and Todd join our team," Martz said. "We know that they will serve Montana admirably over the next four years."
