News ReleaseGovernor-Elect Judy Martz For immediate release: November 16, 2000 Martz Names Members of her Transition Advisory TeamGovernor Elect Judy Martz today released the names of those people she has asked to serve on her Statewide Transition Advisory Team. They are Montanans from all walks of life who will advise her on the various decisions she faces as she puts together her new administration during the next few weeks. She held her first meeting with the group by conference call today. "As Karl Ohs and I go about the task of building the infrastructure of our new administration, we'll be relying on the advice of a variety of people we know from all across Montana," Martz said after convening the group for their first meeting today. "These 20 people will be at the top of that list." The team members include: Senator Arnie Mohl of Kalispell, Kathy Ogren of Missoula, Susan Humble of Great Falls, Mark Baker of Helena, Jay Klawon of Hamilton, Dan Walker of Billings, Mary Jo Fox of Helena, Karen Fagg of Billings, Tom McElwain of Butte, Elaine Sliter of Kalispell, Tom Scott of Billings, Representative Larry Grinde of Lewistown, John Olson of Sidney, Loren Frazier of Helena, Haley Beaudry of Butte, John Rabenberg of Circle, Steve Yeakel of Helena, Andrea Anderson of Bozeman, Jody Martz of Philipsburg, and Senator Bruce Crippen of Billings. "These people are located all across Montana and are among those I can trust to assist us in upcoming decisions," Martz said. "I know I can openly discuss any topic with them, and that will be helpful in the next few months." Martz pointed out that she'll be using the members of her Transition Team to collect and discuss choices for department directors as well as to decide on her legislative priorities for the upcoming session. In addition, she'll be using them as her eyes and ears out around Montana to collect additional input on state agencies.
