Notes from this afternoon's Governor's Briefing:

--There have been no reported acts of terrorism in the state of Montana.

--The military has moved to Threatcon Charlie.

--There are reports state and nation-wide of unjustified high prices at gas stations. Governor Martz has issued a release regarding these reports, asking all Montana retail gas businesses not to take unfair advantage due to the national tragedy.

--Governor Martz encourages Montanans to volunteer at local red cross offices. Offices are in need of volunteers to help with blood drawings, answering phones and other direct assistance.

--In addition, for those who desire to help, the ideal donations are monetary donations or donations of services. Contact your local Volunteer Organizations for contributions of money. Contact the FEMA Donations Section at (202) 646-2452 for donations of services.

--Governor Martz warned of potential fraudulent volunteer organizations who are asking for donations. Individuals who give donations should research the organization to make sure its purposes are legitimate.

--Montana schools will remain open and conduct classes as normal.

--State employees will conduct business as usual (with continued heightened security).

--Flags will continue to fly at half-staff.

--The Governor continues to encourage Montanans to donate blood. (Montana Red Cross Phone Numbers)
