Martz Administration tax reform plan will meet all day on June 7 in Room 317 of the State Capitol Building, Helena.
The council's work will focus on recommending items to be taxed under a statewide tourist tax to ensure tourists pay an appropriate share of the state's tax burden. The council also will consider the other provisions necessary to administer the tourist tax. The tourist tax must raise enough revenue to fund the income tax reduction.
The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The meeting is open to the public. Citizens are encouraged to submit feedback on the Martz Administration proposed tax plan by writing Montana Department of Revenue, Director's Office, Tax Reform Feedback, P.O. Box 5805, Helena, MT 59604-5805 or by sending an email message to taxreform@state.mt.us.
