Lt. Governor Karl Ohs Host National Lt. Governors Conference in Montana

HELENA - Lt. Governor Karl Ohs, Chair of the National Lieutenant Governors
Association, will be hosting America's lieutenant governors July 7-10 for
the NLGA Annual Meeting at Big Sky, Montana. Several of the nation's
lieutenant governors will gather to discuss policy initiatives, pass
resolutions, and elect leadership.

"Sherri and I are humbled to host such an important conference in Montana,"
Lt. Governor Ohs stated. "To have the NLGA meeting in Montana is a great
opportunity to showcase Montana to the whole country and engage Montanans in the governments of our fellow states. I know it is going to be an exciting event."

Highlights of the conference include panel discussions and plenary sessions
on the helping rural America, electric deregulation, economic development,
state government best practices, and education reform. The conference will
also have a Lewis and Clark banquet, Montana arts and entertainment, and a
tour of historic Virginia City.

Registration is free of charge for members of the news media and further
accommodations are also available. Media wishing to attend the event can
