Governor Martz names Deputy Communications Director
Education Advisor adds new duties
(Helena)-Governor Judy Martz today announced that Kris Goss, her Education Policy Advisor, will assume additional duties as her Deputy Communications Director effective July 1. Goss will continue his role in the education community while working in the administration’s communications office.
“I am very pleased that Kris has accepted these additional duties,” Governor Martz said. I greatly appreciate his work on the K-12 education issues and I am confident that he will bring the same energy and enthusiasm to our communications staff. Another positive aspect of his added responsibilities will be the increased visibility the important issue of education will receive in the media.”
Goss, 23 is a Sidney, Montana native and a 2002 graduate of Carroll College where he was active in student government and a scholarship member of the Carroll debate team. He has been working in the Office of the Governor since December of 2000 when he assisted the Martz transition team after working on the Martz/Ohs campaign. He has since served as the office’s Executive Assistant and most recently in the Education Advisor role.
“I am very proud that Governor Martz has offered me this position to assist in her communications office,” said Goss. “I am thrilled at the opportunity to serve Governor Martz and Lt. Governor Ohs in education and communications. These added duties allow me to work even more closely with the friends that make up our wonderful cabinet and staff.”
