GENERAL LICENSE INFORMATION

The following outlines general licensing information. For specific information on filing an application, you will need to obtain the license application which includes a detailed listing of the requirements.
A. Application Fee: All Fees are Non-Refundable

B. Education Requirements:
| (i) High school or the equivalent; and (ii) A respiratory care educational program accredited or provisionally accredited by the American medical association's committee on allied health education and accreditation in collaboration with the joint review committee for respiratory therapy education or their successor organizations. |

D. Examination Information:
| Please contact the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) for exam dates and prerequisites. |
E. Renewal Period
| All licenses expire annually on May 1st. |
F. Renewal Fee:
| $75.00 Active $50.00 Inactive |
G. Continuing Education Requirements:

24 hours May 1 even numbered years (biennially) completed in the preceding 24 months. One continuing education unit (ce unit) is equivalent to 50 minutes in length. |
H. Other Special License Requirements:

Copy of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certificate is required. |
