(Helena) Governor Brian Schweitzer and Lt. Governor John Bohlinger announced the 2010 recipients of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Performance at a ceremony today in Helena.

“Nearly 300 state employees from every corner of the state received these awards today for their outstanding work on behalf of all Montanans,” said Governor Brian Schweitzer. “Montana is one of only two states in the nation with money in the bank. We have one of the most efficient state governments in America – and these are the folks that are leading the way in making that happen.”

“While we have been cutting the costs of running government, these employees have been finding ways to do more with less,” he said. “I congratulate and thank state employees today for a job well done.”
